T3, Digi-Natural Nomad
For the last 26 and a half years, I’ve been deeply rooted in one organization or another—teaching full-time, running programs, and doing all the behind-the-scenes work that comes with being a dedicated nature educator. But some of the most joyful, alive, and free moments of my life were the times I wandered the country with just a backpack and a dream, following in my father’s footsteps. I remember that freedom vividly—the kind that comes when it’s just you, the road, and your own creativity to guide the way.
Well… it’s time to return to that path—but this time, with even more purpose, more tools, and a much bigger mission.
I’m setting out on an epic, two-year journey across the U.S.—a rolling adventure powered by Starlink, a backpack full of gear, and a deep sense of vision and calling.
So what’s the plan?
First: I want to finally see the places I’ve only read and dreamed about—and bring you with me. Thanks to portable satellite internet, I’ll be livestreaming from remote wilderness areas, sacred sites, wild trails, and hidden pockets of natural beauty. Some streams will be spontaneous, others will be special events you can plan ahead for—either way, we’ll be exploring these places together.
Second: My online class schedule will continue strong—classes are still running and new ones are being added regularly. This means that wherever I am, you can still join me for deep dives into skills, stories, and reconnection work. As always, all classes remain Pay-What-You-Will, because this work belongs to all of us.
But most importantly:
This journey is about storytelling—about honoring the life and legacy of my father, Tom Brown Jr.
In 1978, my father founded the Tracker School and published his first book, The Tracker. His teachings lit the fire for thousands of people around the world, and he continued to teach and write up until his passing in August of last year.
My path began in 1999, following in his footsteps, doing everything I could to share the wisdom of living awake, aware, and alive—and helping people deepen their connection to the Earth. Now, it’s time to tell his story, our story—the story of a movement that has rippled across generations.
This journey will take me to meet students, teachers, and community members who’ve applied these skills to their lives and careers—people who have carried the torch, started their own schools, and built their lives around earth-honoring values.
If that sounds like you, please reach out.
If you’ve put in the dirt time, if you’ve carried these teachings into your work and family, I want to talk to you.
This won’t just be a trip.
It will be a fully interactive adventure.
There will be times you can communicate with me live through the camera inside my vehicle. You’ll be able to follow my journey in real time via map-share, and this page will serve as a travel journal—with updates, behind-the-scenes moments, livestream links, and more.
I’ll also be offering in-person programs for individuals and small groups in each region I visit. If you’d like to host a workshop, organize a private class, or offer a place to park the “Rolling Turtle” for a week or two, let me know. Every region will be on the map, and I would love to come to your neck of the woods.
The truth is: This is a journey I have to take.
There are stories I must tell—through photos, writing, video, and shared moments on the trail. I’ve spent the last four years dreaming, planning, and preparing for this…and now I just need the final push of support to make it real.
